Hello, I'm Alaska. Since arriving here on Sunday I've settled in and become one of the tribe very quickly, which is surprising considering my backstory.
Before joining the Surrey Squeakers any attempt to introduce me to other pigs was a bit of a disaster. They would reject, fight and even BITE me! The nice humans at the rescue thought perhaps I'd be better off as a lone pig, but I was miserable. I would lie flat and unresponsive all day.
On Sunday came one more chance at a happy life, and I came here. The Surrey Squeakers welcomed me with open paws. Calypso seemed a little flummoxed by the arrival of a newbie, but there was no aggro, and the others barely even noticed anything was new.
I don't know what I've done differently this time, but it's worked. I have friends now. I think I'm going to like it here.
